Reading and Writing Courses

Course Description:

These courses develop participants' daily-life, academic, and

professional reading and writing skills through a large variety

of exercises. Analyzing vocabulary, grammar, and writing styles

in authentic materials allows participants to better understand

and incorporate these into their own writing. Improve your

writing by reducing errors and refining your style! 

(Beginner, intermediate and advanced sections available. 

Class size limited to 10 students. New courses begin each month.)

Performance Outcomes:
It is expected that successful participants will better understand

English writing styles and be able to utilize these in their own writing,
thereby enhancing their written communication. 

Course Materials: The NorthStar Reading and Writing series is used for these courses.

Sections:

Section 1: 4 Thursdays, 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. (EST)

Section 2: 4 Thursdays, 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. (EST)

Location:

Option #1: In-person: Students may participate in classes in-person if they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Option #2: Online: Students may participate in class online, if they wish. 

Option #3: Mix of Online and In-person: Students can participate in a mix of online and in-person classes, if they wish.
