English Level Placement Exam:

All first-time MLS English language students must take an English level

placement exam before registering for an English course. The exam is free

and lasts up to 30 minutes, depending on student abilities. This exam is

taken online. This exam helps MLS staff find the most helpful courses for you.

This exam evaluates your understanding and use of grammar and vocabulary,

as well as your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Students register by completing this online form.  

(Remember, you must take the level placement exam first,

before you register, if you are a new student.)

 

Registration Deadlines:
The last day to register for courses is one day before course start dates,

but don't wait, because courses fill up quickly!

 

Payment:
Students may pay for their courses in cash, by check, by money order, or

by Venmo after completing the registration form, before the start of their

courses. We do not currently accept debit or credit card payments as this

is prohibitively expensive.
