State House Tour

Schedule: Friday, August 2nd, 2024: 2:00-3:30 P.M.

Summary:

Built in 1798, the Massachusetts State House is home to the state government of

Massachusetts. Recognizable by its gold dome, this historic building has long served

as a landmark of Boston and is a prominent feature of the lovely Beacon Hill

neighborhood. Join us to meet new people, make new friends and practice English

while exploring this fascinating building and its history!

Costs:

  • Transportation to / from the MBTA Park Street station.

  • State House Tour Fee: Free

  • There will be optional costs, such as purchasing souvenirs.

Important Notes:

  • Please wear comfortable shoes for walking.

  • Please be prepared for typical, unpredictable, New England weather.

  • This is a Massachusetts state government facility. As such, all visitors will                                                                                          pass a security check (metal detector and possible wanding). No weapons are                                                                                                 allowed (including mace). This sounds strange, but, normally, there is always                                                                                      one person who tries to brings a weapon and, therefore, can not participate in                                                                                                              the tour.

  • All participants must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination in order to
enter the building. Masks covering the nose and mouth must be worn at all times while inside the building.
