Summary:
Established in 1831, Mount Auburn Cemetery was the first rural cemetery
in the United States and its creation gave rise to the development of landscape
architecture. Although a cemetery, it is also a unique, natural space containing
more than 700 varieties of trees, 220 species of birds, and other wildlife, such
as chipmunks, rabbits and coyotes. Join us to meet new people, make new
friends, and practice English while exploring nature!
