Harvard Museum Of Natural History Tour

Schedule: Sunday, February 23, 2020, 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.

 

Summary:

The Harvard University Museum of Natural history holds the largest

collection of scientific specimens in New England. It is best known

for its fossil, mineral and insect collections. Join us to meet new people

make new friends, and practice English as we explore this wonderful museum!

Itinerary:

  • 11:00 A.M. Meet at the Harvard Square train station, outside.

  • 11:10 A.M. Walk to the museum.

  • 11:20 A.M. Arrive at the museum.

  • 11:20 A.M. Tour the museum.

  • 12:40 P.M. Share thoughts on the collection.

  • 12:50 P.M. Depart the museum.

  • 1:00 P.M.   Arrive at the Harvard Square train station.

 

Costs:

  • Transportation to / from Harvard Square.

  • Museum Admission: Free for Massachusetts residents on    

       the day and at the time of our visit, with proof of address.

  • There will be optional costs, such as purchasing souvenirs.

 

Important Notes:

  • Bring proof of Massachusetts residency, such as a driver's license or utility bill and a photo ID, such as a passport, for free admission. If you do not have have proof of Massachusetts residency, it is also free for Harvard University community members.   

  • Limited, insecure, coatroom available. We suggest not bringing anything to check, such as a large bag.

  • Please wear comfortable shoes for walking.

  • Please be prepared for typical, unpredictable, New England weather.

  • Noncommercial, non-flash photography is permitted of most objects.

  • Filming is not allowed.

  • Eating, and drinking in the galleries is not allowed.

  • Touching of specimens is normally not allowed. Please ask for clarification, as necessary.
